Leafs Lose Sixth Straight And Fire Babcock

The Toronto Maple Leafs lost another game last night.

The Leafs lost 4-2 to the Vegas Golden Knights.

This was the team's sixth straight loss.

As a result, the Leafs fired head coach, Mike Babcock today.

As for the game, there was no scoring in the first period.

Cody Glass put Vegas ahead 1-0 at 8:07 of the second period with a power play goal.

Glass finished the night with two points.

Jason Spezza tied the game at 7:26 of the third period.

Vegas went ahead again when Tomas Nosek scored at 8:08.

Mark Stone scored on the power play at 10:22.

Zach Hyman closed the gap to 3-2  with a power play goal at 12:47.

Cody Eakin added an empty-netter at 19:39.

Max Pacioretty had two assists.

Vegas's goalie, Marc-Andre Fleury, stopped 31 shots.

Spezza had two points.

Toronto's goalie, Frederik Andersen, stopped 33 shots last night.

Toronto is in Arizona tomorrow night to face the Coyotes.
