Jays Go Into The All-Star Break With A Win

Trent Thornton (Top) had his best start of the season.


The Toronto Blue Jays finished the first half of the 2019 season with a win.

The Jays defeated the Baltimore Orioles yesterday afternoon 6-1.

Blue Jay's starter, Trent Thornton, had his best start of the year yesterday.

Thornton went six innings, giving up just three hits, no earned runs, no walks, and struck out five batters.

Thornton's teammate, Lourdes Gurriel, went two for four at the plate and collected two RBIs.

Baltimore's Chance Sisco also went two for four yesterday.  He collected a RBI.

Orioles starter, Asher Wojciechowski, went just 4.1 innings, giving up  four hits, three earned runs, three walks and struck out six batters.

Toronto is off until Friday.  They'll face the New York Yankees.
