Drrury Goes Three For Four In Jay's Win Over BoSox

(Top), Brandon Drury goes three for four last night.

The Toronto Blue Jays bounced back from the 10-6 loss on Tuesday night.

Last night, the Jays defeated the Boston Red Sox 6-3 and Brandon Drury was a big part in the win.

Drury went three for four at the plate last night and collected two RBIs for the Blue Jays.

Boston got on the scoreboard first when Rafael Devers his a two run single at the top of the third inning.

Lourdes Gurriel made it a 2-1 game in the bottom of the third with a solo home run.

At the top of the fourth inning, Christian Vazquez hit a solo home run to put Boston up by two runs again.

In the bottom of the fourth, though, Danny Jansen tied the game with a two run homer.

It was all Blue Jays from there.

in the bottom of the sixth inning, Drury hit a two run blast to put the Jays ahead 5-3.

The Jays added another run in the bottom of the eighth inning when Freddie Galvis hit a sacrifice fly.

Jay's starting pitcher, Jacob Waguespack, went five innings, giving up six hits, three earned runs, no walks, and struck out four batters.

Jay's closer, Ken Giles, picked up his 13th save of the season.

Boston's starter, Chris Sale, went 5.2 innings, giving up nine hits, five earned runs, two walks, and struck out five batters.

Vazquez went two for four and collected a RBI.

Tonight's Pitchers:

BOS: Hector Velazquez -  1-3.

TOR: Marcus Stroman - 5-9*

Velazquez has never faced the Jays as a starter.

*Stroman is schedule to play, however, he is suffering from a chest injury.  It is uncertain that he'll get his start tonight.

Justin Smoak has hit .500 off of Velazquez this season.
