Leafs Douse Flames 4-1


After the disappointing loss on Saturday to the Washington Capitals, the Toronto Maple Leafs were looking to bounce back against the Calgary Flames last night.

Roman Polak opened the scoring for Toronto at 18:36 of the first period.

Nikita Zaitev put the Leafs up 2-0 at 12:36 of the second period.

Nazem Kadri scored at 1:54 of the third period to make it 3-0 Leafs.

Calgary finally got on the scoreboard at 5:29 of the (third) period with a goal by Michael Stone.

Leo Komarov sealed the deal for the Leafs with an empty-netter at 19:59.

The Leafs now head to Edmonton where Toronto faces the Oilers tomorrow night.
