Leafs Blank Canadiens 6-0

Auston Matthews scores two in his first game back from injury last night.

Make that six straight wins.

Yes.  That's right.

The Toronto Maple Leafs blanked the Montreal Canadiens 6-0 last night as the team's winning streak continues.

There was no scoring until 12:07 of the second period when Ron Hainsey scored to put the Leafs ahead 1-0.

Just 37 seconds after Hainsey's goal, Nazem Kadri made it 2-0.

Just 25 seconds into the third period, Connor Brown scored to put Toronto up by three goals.

James Van Riemsdyk made it 4-0 at 8:11 of the third period.

43 seconds later, Auston Matthews scored Toronto's fifth goal of the game.

Matthews also scored Toronto's sixth goal at 15:27, giving him two goals in the game.

Matthews's teammate, Tyler Bozak finished the night with two assists.

Leaf's goalie, Frederik Andersen stopped 33 shots last night.

Toronto hosts the Arizona Coyotes tomorrow night.
