Dodgers Force Game Seven
Despite the 3-1 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers last night in Game Six of the World Series, Houston Astro's starting pitcher, Justin Verlander, had a solid outing on the mound.
Verlander gave up just three hits, two earned runs, no walks, and struck out nine batters in six innings pitched.
Verlander's teammate, George springer got the ball rolling by hitting a solo home run at the top of the third inning.
The Dodgers tied the game in the bottom of the sixth inning when Chris Taylor drove in Austin Barnes with a RBI double.
Later in the (sixth) inning, the Dodgers went ahead 2-1 when Chase Utley scored on a sacrifice fly by Corey Seager.
A comeback for the Astros was squashed in the bottom of the seventh inning when Joc Pederson hit a solo home run on a 1-2 count.
