Tavares Scores Winner In O.T.

I have to admit.

I wasn't too pleased on the way the Toronto Maple Leafs played against the Buffalo Sabres last night.

I mean, it is the Sabres.

Going into last night's game, the Sabres were 3-8-3 in their last 14 games.

The Leafs ought of outplayed Buffalo.

You have to give credit to Sabre's goalie, Carter Hutton, though.

He stopped an astonishing 41 shots last night.

Anyway, the Leafs did get the job done, winning 2-1 in overtime.

"We found a way to get the two points," said Leaf's head coach, Sheldon Keefe.

There was absolutely no scoring in the first period.

William Nylander scored a power play goal at 5:30 of the second period to put the Leafs ahead 1-0.

Rasmus Ristalainen tied the game at 6:58 of the third period.

1:45 into overtime, Leaf's captain, John Tavares, scored the winner.

Tavares had two points last night.
