Nylander, Marner Scores Two In Win Over Rangers

It is good times in Leaf Nation now days as the Toronto Maple Leafs won, yet, again.

Last night, the Leafs defeated the New York Rangers at Madison Square Gardens 6-3 with three unanswered goals in the third period.

Pierre Engvall got things going with a goal at 4:38 of the first period.

William Nylander put Toronto ahead 2-0 at 11:52.

The Rangers, however, rallied back before the period was over.

Brady Skjei scored at 14:04.

Ryan Strome tied the game 2-2 at 17:51.

Mitch Marner put the Leafs ahead again with a power play goal at 2:50 of the second period.

Paval Buchnevich tied the game at 5:57.

Buchnevich had a two point night.

Nylander, Marner and Ilya Mikheyev scored for Toronto in the third period.

Nylander had three points.

Toronto's Austin had two assists.

Ranger's goalie, Alexandar Georgiev stopped 34 shots.
