Astros Shut Out Yankees And Are On Their Way To The World Series

Well, it is going to be the Houston Astros and the Los Angeles Dodgers battling it out in the World Series this year.

Yes.  The Astros shut out the New York Yankees 4-0 last night in Game Seven of the American League Championship Series.

Astros's pitcher, Justin Verlander was awarded the ALCS Most Valable Player award.

This is going to be the Astros's first World Series appearance since 2005.

Houston, of course, was in the National League at the time.

Both Jose Altuve and Evan Gattis homered last night.

Houston's starting pitcher, Charlie Morton, had a solid outing on the mound last night, giving up just two hits, no earned runs, a walk, and struck out five batters in five innings pitched.

Game One of the World Series is on Tuesday night (Oct. 24).
