Kovalchuk Hurts Leafs In O.T.

The first two periods were good for the Toronto Maple Leafs last night.

Both the Leafs and the Montreal Canadiens played a really tight game.

In fact, there was no scoring in the first two periods.

John Tavares opened the scoring just 1:06 into the third period.

Unfortunately, the Leafs didn't get a shot on goal after that.

Mario Scandella tied the game at 17:27.

1:43 into overtime, Montreal's Ilya Kovalchuk scored the winner.

Ilya Kovalchuk helped the Canadiens get a 2-1 victory last night by scoring in O.T.

Toronto has two days off before hosting the Arizona Coyotes on Tuesday night.
