Buchnevich Gets Three In Ranger's Win

Things started out okay for the Toronto Maple Leafs last night, but then, things got bad as the team lost to the New York Rangers 5-3.

John Tavares put the Leafs ahead 1-0 at 7:36 of the first period.

Unfortunately, the Rangers scored three unanswered goals to go ahead 3-1.

Filip Chytil, Mika Zibanejad, and Chris Krieder were the goal scorers.

Auston Matthews closed the gap to 3-2 at 16:56 of the second period.

Pavel Buchnevich then put the Rangers ahead 4-2 at 17:30.

"The fourth goal was pretty defeating and devastating," said Leaf's head coach, Sheldon Keefe after the game.

The goal was devastating.

The Leafs never really recovered after that.

Buchnevich had three points last night.

Matthews scored again at 16:32 of the third period.

Gregg McKegg scored an empty netter at 19:03.

Tavares had two points.

Leaf's goalie, Michael Hutchinson, stopped 30 shots last night.

Toronto hosts the Anaheim Ducks tomorrow night.
