World Juniors Is Cooling Off
Word has it that the IIHF World Juniors tournament is not as popular as it was.
Yesterdays Canada/Finland game drew just 9,552 fans at the Key Bank Centre in Buffalo, New York.
That's sad.
I remember when the World Juniors were huge in Canada.
It all started in1986 when my dad got tickets to the tournament as a Christmas gift.
The tournament took place at the brand new Copps Coliseum in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
I had a good time watching the games.
After that, I followed the tournament ever since.
Makes me wonder about the future of the tournament.
The holidays won't be the same without it.
