The Toronto Blue Jays were defeated by the Seattle Mariners yesterday afternoon 4-3, thanks to a solo home run at the top of the eighth inning by Kyle Seager.
Mariners closer, Matt Mcgill, picked up his first save of the season after striking out Bo Bichette in the bottom of ninth inning.
Bichette hit a solo home run in the bottom of fifth inning.
Austin Nola scored two times in the game.
First, Nola scored on a sacrifice fly at the top of the second.
Then Nola hit a solo home run at the top of the fourth inning.
Nola went two for four at the plate yesterday and had a RBI.
Daniel Vogelbach also scored a run for Seattle.
Mariner's starting pitcher, Reggie McClain, went just two innings, allowing three hits, an earned run, a walk, and had no strikeouts.
Toronto's Reese McGuire also hit a solo home run yesterday.
McGuire went two for four at the plate and had a RBI.
Toronto's starter, Trent Thornton, went six innings, allowing five hits, three earned runs, four walks, and struck out three batters.
