Winningness Coach In NFL History Passes Away

Legendary National Football League coach, Don Shula, has passed away at age 90.

Shula passed away yesterday in Indian Creek. Fla.

Don Shula won 347 games as a NFL coach


Shula was born in Grand River, Ohio on January 4, 1930.

Shula started his coaching career in the late 60s' with the Baltimore Colts after playing defensive back in the NFL in the late 50s' and early 60s.

In 1970, Shula went to Miami and coached the Dolphins for 25 years.

Within the 25 years, Shula coached Miami to two Superbowl titles, including a perfect season in 1972.

Shula holds the record in the NFL for wins by a coach with 347.

He is pre-deceased by his wife Dorothy who passed way in 1991 from breast cancer.

Shula is survived by his five children.
